Customize Your Own Smoothies

In addition to being fast, easy and customizable, when made with the right ingredients, smoothies are also delicious and nutrition powder houses. Smoothies are a daily part of my life, because they help me heal from illness, live life on-the-go, quickly feed my muscles after a workout, and are wonderful for using up whatever I have on hand in the fridge.
It must, however, be noted that smoothies tend to be very calorie dense with few exceptions, so it is important that you use smoothies as meal replacements.  But do not fear! By putting the right ingredients into your smoothies, you will feel satisfied, well nourished and ready to take on the world. At least until your next meal, be it smoothie or salad.  Oh, speaking of salad ... if you don't like salad, veggies or fruit, smoothies are a great way to fill your body with the healing power of fruits and veggies, and it will taste so good you won't have to force yourself to choke it down.
