Do you ever get an insatiable craving for cold and sweet drinks?  I sure do, especially post workout. A sports drink or glass of juice might feed my craving but not my body, so I design smoothies that will do both.  This Tropical Smoothie is just one of many smoothie recipes I enjoy post workout.  It cools me down and fuels my body with the nutrition it needs for workout recovery, and it taste amazing.  Remember! Smoothies are a meal in-and-of themselves.
Ingredients:
Blend till smooth, about 40 seconds, pour, drink and enjoy.

Important! Clean your produce before you blend it.  If you are buying conventional produce (non organic) this is especially important.  Not only are you then needing to protect yourself against bacteria, you also must protect yourself against toxins from pesticides.
If you want to go organic but need to keep a close eye on your budget, focus your organic $ on produce with edible skin, i.e. apples, pears, grapes, berries, carrots, peppers, etc. The skin is where the toxins are most highly concentrated.  You can also use frozen organic produce rather than fresh to reduce cost.
